Well, we finally got around to booking our trip. Ok, part of it was we were waiting for better pricing (it's dropped almost in half since last fall), and part of it was that there are so many places that all look the same it's just really hard to choose one.

But we finally booked it! We will be going to the H10 Hacienda Maya Resort which is about three-quarters of the way between Cancun & Playa Del Carmen in the Mexican Riviera. From here, we'll be able to get to Tulum (where the Mayan Ruins are), and Playa Del Carmen (for shopping). As an added bonus, this resort has it's own scuba/snorkel centre (not included) where we can actually book tours to go over to Cozumel for the day for only $79 US pp! As Adam can't scuba, we will be snorkeling, and Cozumel is apparently a very nice place to do so (the island protects it from much of the rough surf/current of the ocean).

We depart stupid early the morning of Feb 2 and return the evening of Feb 10th.

So now we're trying to figure out what things we want to do there and sort of "plan" our vacation.

We're back and it was fantastic! We took over 400 pictures as well as a few videos. I'll be sure to post a link to them as soon as they are posted online somewhere.

Thanks for all the help and support (financial & emotional or otherwise) that made our week in Mexico absolute paradise. I wish we could share some of the joy that it gave us with you all.
